Bi-weekly Update #14 (2021/9/6~9/20)
Want to build something awesome on top of Perpetual Protocol? Check our Ecosystem Fund and Grants Program.
Additionally, we currently have several job openings. Check our careers page and apply there!
Highlights in the last development sprint
Subgraph Support for V2
The subgraph’s interfaces for all of the events from our smart contracts are done.
Prepare Pre-Flight Test Scripts
We’ve finished the test scripts, which will run several test cases before each deployment to test that the system is working properly.
The new referral dashboard is online now, making it easy for referral partners and their referred traders to know how many referral rewards they earn each week. This also makes it much easier to calculate and distribute rewards, so we can onboard more referral partners! Know an influencer who would like to earn referral rewards? Please put us in touch! 🙏
Volume Program Proposal
We just released a proposal for our Volume Program, designed to incentivize teams that have built or want to build on top of Perpetual Protocol to stay and help us grow the ecosystem.
Permissionless Market Creation Proposal
Jonathan from Delphi Digital published the proposal for permissionless market creation on our forum! There are two parts of the proposal: check part 1 here and part 2 here.
Token Swaps for Ecosystem Partners Completed
As we mentioned in our Ecosystem Fund announcement, we’ve swapped tokens with our partners, now including Charm Finance, dHEDGE, Lemma Finance, Stake DAO, and Teahouse Finance.
To-dos in this development sprint
📑 Smart Contracts
Building and Researching V2 (🏁 finish line in sight!)
All of the bugs reported by the Consensys Audit have been crushed and ABDK, the auditor for Uniswap v3, is auditing the code now.
Code refactoring for the clearinghouse is still ongoing and the smart contract team is assisting the frontend and backend team to integrate with the smart contracts.
At the same time, we’re researching designs for liquidity mining for makers.
The smart contracts have been deployed on testnet and we’ll verify the on-chain data is the same as our internal simulations in this sprint.
Internal Arbitrageur Modification
We’ll modify our internal arbitrageur to support v2 in this sprint. If you want to do some digging, you can find our arbitrageur’s address for v1 (and other smart contracts’ addresses) here.
Web UI for both Mobile and Desktop (🏁 finish line in sight!)
All of the trader-facing functions for both desktop and mobile versions are done. In this sprint, we’ll verify on-chain data shown on the frontend are correct.
Our partners at apex.win are planning an event in London (UK) for later this month, so if you’re in the UK, stay tuned!
Documentation for v2 will be a key focus going forward and we look forward to your comments and suggestions!
We have some physical and digital items in the works that Perp fans will love, so keep your eyes peeled for that!
